FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Here you will find answers to the most important questions about selling your art and antiques with Kolb Antik.
How long does the whole process take?
From consignment to sale, the process usually takes around 14 days. Larger collections may take a little longer — we will keep you informed transparently about the schedule.
When will I receive my money?
Payout is made within 22 working days after the auction ends. You receive a detailed statement for all sold collectables.
Do you also buy directly?
Yes, we are happy to buy directly, in cash and at any scale. Simply contact us for a non-binding offer.
Why do you work on eBay without a minimum selling price?
Auctions without a reserve generally attract more bidders and create more competition. This usually leads to better final prices than auctions with a high starting price. For collectables where a limit should be set, we offer online art auctions through international auction platforms.
Do you sell only through eBay?
No. eBay remains our most important sales channel because it gives us access to a large international buying audience. For selected art and collectables, we additionally use lot-tissimo and other suitable auction platforms.
Do you offer a collection service?
Yes, for larger collections or bulky collectables we offer a collection service within Germany and the EU.
Which collectables do you accept?
We accept art, antiques, collectables, jewellery, silver, porcelain, glass, watches, varia, entire collections and estates. If you are unsure, please contact us — we will give you a professional assessment.
Is the initial valuation free?
Yes, the initial valuation is free and non-binding. You can then decide at your own pace whether you would like to work with us.
